We'll keep this short and simple.
Data storage & encryption
First and foremost; your data is yours, and yours alone! All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. Database backups are also encrypted. When you cancel your account, we'll ensure that nothing is stored on our servers past 30 days. This also goes for anything you delete on your account while it's active.
Personal info & email
When you sign up for Chiefly, we ask for your name, and a valid email address. That’s just so you can personalize your new account, and so we can authenticate you when you're signing in. We will NEVER sell your personal info - or any other data you may have stored on our servers - to third parties.
However, we might send you an occasional email such as a "welcome" email, or if you have password problems, an email containing a link to allow you to log in and reset your password. We may even send an occasional email to announce important updates or notify you of essential information. If that's the case, we will certainly make it possible to opt out if you don't want to receive anything from us.
Changes & questions
Chiefly may update this policy once in a while - we'll notify you about significant changes by emailing you or by placing a prominent notice on our site. You can access, change or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us.
